We can consider official. Information published on the afternoon of Monday (17) by site Android Police indicate that the name of the "M" version of Android will be "Marshmallow". The confirmation came from a photo of traditional Android mascot statue, which carries a marshmallow on the back.

The official information regarding the name of the new Android was confirmed by Google on his blog for developers. Also, this may be an indication that in the coming days, we also have the revelation of a new smartphone Nexus line.

Stay tuned in NexusTec Blog, for soon we will post more news!

It was announced at Google I/O 2015, the new Android operating system as well as new tools that will come along with it. Below you can see all the news that are to come. And that in my opinion, are great tools and are here to stay!

The Android M release: improving the fundamentals

For the M release, we focused on improving the core user experience of Android, from fixing thousands of bugs, to making some big changes to the fundamentals of the platform:

  • Permissions - Now the user has control over the permissions each app may or may not have. Thus, when using this app you may encounter a message asking permission for such a thing.
Runtime App Permissions

  • App Links - Now you can open links within certain apps without having to choose which browser you want to use, just select only once your preferred browser and voila!

  • Battery -  Android devices smarter about managing power through a new feature called Doze. Android uses significant motion detection to learn if a device has been left unattended for a while. In this state, Android will exponentially back off background activity, trading off a little bit of app freshness for longer battery life. Consider how this may affect your app; for instance, if you’re building a chat app, you may want to make use of high priority messages to wake your app when the device is dozing.
The Android M release: advancing assistance and payments

  • Now on tap - Now it's easier to get help with Now on tap - Whenever They need it, wherever They are on Their device. For example, if your friend texts you about dinner at a new restaurant, without leaving the app, you can ask Google Now for help. Using just that context, Google can find menus, reviews, help you book a table, navigate there, and deep link you into relevant apps. As a developer, you can implement App Indexing for Google search to let users discover and re-engage with your app through Now on tap.

  • Android Pay & Fingerprint - The Google has built with Near Field Communications (NFC) in Gingerbread and Host Card Emulation in Kitkat to develop Android Pay. Android Pay will enable Android users to simply and securely use their Android phone to pay in stores or in thousands of Android Pay partner apps. With Android M, native fingerprint support enhances Android Pay by allowing users to confirm a purchase with their fingerprint. Moreover, fingerprint on Android M can be used to unlock devices and make purchases on Google Play. With new APIs in Android M, it’s easy for you to add fingerprint authorization to your app and have it work consistently across a range of devices and sensors. These are just a few highlights from the Android M Developer Preview that has anunciada today. The Android M preview already available for download.

(Remembering that can only test the Android M preview, who's Nexus line of devices user.)

It’s fairly common to have the camera crash accompanied by the useless message “Unfortunately, Camera has stopped.” There doesn’t seem to be an obvious cause for this one, but it’s easy enough to temporarily fix.

Workarounds:

  • Turn off and on again by holding down the Power button and tapping Power off. Now press it again and your phone will restart with a working camera.

  • Go to Settings >> Apps >> All >> Camera and then tap Clear cache. If you’re using an alternative camera app then do the same there and it can also help to clear the cache in the Gallery
Let me know if this helps you!

How to make a factory reset on a Nexus device? is easy! But before I will tell you what is a  Hard reset in fastboot.

What is a Hard reset in Fastboot?

* Recovery is an independent execution environment of the Android OS, situated in another partition the internal memory. This separation allows it to be accessed even when the main system is damaged (brick), offering the user a set of tools to repair the device. For this reason, a "base" version of this mode is present on any Android device.

The Bootloader will determine when running Android or Recovery, but we can step in and force the Recovery mode startup whenever the bootloader is not locked.

Today I bring to you a video with tips where you will learn how to do a hard reset in Fastboot mode and you see it in the video below.

Google Now is really amazing. It has functions somewhat futuristic: through voice commands, you can perform various tasks on the device, such as opening applications, make calls, set alarms, and more. For the best experience of Google Now, you must be using a recent version of the application. Therefore, update the search application on your device before anything else.

To make the voice commands Google Now, simply press on the microphone icon in the search bar, and speak loud and clear the command.

Below I list the most popular commands so far:

Open applications: use the open command, followed by the application name. Eg opening drive.

Open sites: use the command to go, followed by site name. Ex: go to google.com.

Make phone calls: use the command to connect, followed by the contact name. Ex: call John.

View map of town or place: use the command with map, followed by the specific name of the place. Eg map of San Francisco.

Browse (GPS) to an address: Use the command to go, followed by the name of the address. Ex: go to San Francisco.

Activate the alarm: Use the alarm command to define, followed by the hour. Or wake me the command, followed by the hour. Ex: set alarm for 10 hours / wake me 10 hours and 30 minutes.

Create reminders: use the remind me Command, followed by what you want worthwhile. Ex: remind me to study for the test.

Create notes: use the annotation command, followed by the text to be saved. Eg annotation test.

Check movie times in the coming cinemas: use the movie schedule command in / in, followed by the desired city. Ex: Movie time in California.

Send e-mail: Use the send command email, followed by the full name of your contact. Ex: send mail to John Peter.
